He was predeceased by: his wife Bessie Proctor Edwards; his daughter Stephanie Edwards; and his siblings, Dennis Edwards, Donald Edwards and Hazel Nipper.
He is survived by: his daughter Linette Jenkins of New Bern. He is also survived by two grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
