As Jack Thompson departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jack Thompson may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jack Thompson leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mewborn and Sarah Mewborn; his sons, Jack "Todd" Mewborn, II and Warren Parker Mewborn; and his brother George Conrad Mewborn.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline "Jackie" Bost; his granddaughters, Anna Parker Mewborn and Gracyn Allen May; his daughter-in-law Christy May (Dwyane); and his brother-in-law John Rawlings. He is also survived by two nieces and a nephew.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Home & Crematory - Greenville (2100 E 5th St, Greenville, NC 27858).
