She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Turnage and Lillian Turnage; her husband Harvey Turnage of Goldsboro, NC.; her siblings, Lloyd Turnage, Jr. (Margie) and Katherine Warren (Burney); her son-in-law Lonnie Lee Askew, Jr.; and her stepson Harvey Turnage III.
She is survived by: her daughter Denise Whitaker Askew of Chocowinity, NC; her grandson Whitaker Askew (Haley); her great grandchildren, Mary Chandler and Leighton Elizabeth of Alexandria, VA.; her sister-in-law Betty Lou Howard of Greenville, NC; her stepdaughter Tricia Calloway (Chip) of Alexandria, VA; and her stepgrandsons, Christopher (Emily) and Charles (Madison). She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
