He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Whitehurst and Laura Whitehurst; and his brother Glenn Whitehurst. He is survived by: his wife Donna Swindell Whitehurst; his children, Brian Whitehurst, Janet Whitehurst and Danny Gilbert (Heather); his brother Ervin Whitehurst (Terri); his sisters-in-law, Mary Collins (David), Fay Jarman (Jerry) and Carla Whitehurst; his grandchildren, Ethan Crawford and Kaitlin Weatherington (Tanner); and his great grandchild Whitley Thomas Weatherington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
