With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laura Phelps Jones of Vanceboro, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 28, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Dallas Phelps and Doris Hall Phelps; her sister Lynn Phelps Ross; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Jones Ham. She is survived by: her husband Bobby Jones; her daughters, Amy Jones Moore (Brandon) of Greenville and Courtney Jones Martin (Andy) of Franklin, VA; her granddaughters, Emma Grace Martin and Annabelle James Martin; her sister Lois Hurley of Greenville; her brother-in-law Mark Jones (Lisa) of Los Angeles, CA; and her sisters, Donna Rice and Pat Ouellette. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
