She was predeceased by : her parents, Alton Funston Whitley and Magnolia Roebuck Whitley; and her husband Patrick McHugh Ferguson. She is survived by : her son Maxfield Alton Sussman of Colorado; and her sisters, Jane Davis Whitley of Vanceboro and Barbara Whitley Thompson (Phillip) of Gibsonville.
