She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Hammond (Jeff Prestel) of Chocowinity, NC and Scott Hammond (Kathryn) of Ashburn, VA; her daughter-in-law Lilian Hammond (Joe Dedge) of Raleigh, NC; and her stepsons, James DeVane, Jr. (Janice) of Greensboro, GA, Lyle DeVane (Barbara) of Matthews, NC and Dan DeVane of Miami, FL.. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donating to the charity of your choice. Some causes close to Mrs. DeVane include Beare Garden Animal Rescue where she adopted her loving cat Dolly, Alzheimer's Association, and the Cypress Glen Benevolent Care Fund.
