She was predeceased by : her former life partner R. Earl Harris; and her husband James Edwards. She is survived by : her children, Debbie Harris Capps (Bruce) of Raleigh and Leon Earl Harris (Judy) of Ayden; and her grandchildren, Jodi Peoples (Chris), Brad Beddard (Alecia) and Joshua Harris (Rachel). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
