He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett G. Eakin and Mildred M. Eakin; and his siblings, Thomas G. Eakin and Patricia Jones (Ronald). He is survived by: his wife Jo; his children, Matthew Glenn Eakin (Susan) and Maridy Lynn Knight; his granddaughters, Megan Eakin and Natalie Eakin; and his brother-in-law Larry Gilman. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
