He was predeceased by: his parents, Blanche Tripp Purser and James Edward Purser; and his brothers, James Rodney Purser and Edward Earl "Buddy" Purser. He is survived by: his siblings, Judy P. Murray (Tommy) of Arapahoe, Ronnie Eugene Purser (Beverly) of Grifton and Kenneth Marion Purser (Frances) of Ayden. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
