It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Leo Stephenson of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, L. B. Stephenson and Emma Lee Stephenson; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Sawyer and Rudy Moye. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Beth" Allen Stephenson; his children, Susan Stephenson-Haas, Ron Stephenson and Alan Kalla of Greenville; his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Allen (Sally) of Winterville, Debbie Moye of Winterville, Becky Godley (Obie) of Grimesland and Lisa Henson (Ric) of Mebane; his uncle Robert Worthington (Alice Faye) of Raleigh; and his aunt Rosa Kelly of Garner. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Memorial Baptist Church (1510 Greenville Blvd SE, Greenville, NC 27858). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Memorial Baptist Church, 1510 Greenville Boulevard SE, Greenville, NC 27858.
