Roy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Stepps, Sr. and Bernice Howell Stepps; and his siblings, Marvin "Buddy" Stepps and Margaret Ann Beales. He is survived by: his wife Teresa "Jean" Brown Stepps; his daughters, Chastity Stepps Banfalvy (John) and Ashley Marie Grimes (Chris); his grandchildren, Robert "Robbie" Bass III, Dylan Bass and Donna Jean Pilgreen; his great grandchildren, Christopher Sanderson, Roy Butler and Bethany Butler; and his sisters, Edith Mae Price and Geraldine Wade. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Home & Crematory - Greenville (2100 E 5th St, Greenville, NC 27858). A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
