It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley M. James of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Johnnie Moreadith and Margaret Moreadith; her husband Charles James; and her son Warren James. She is survived by : her daughter Nancy Ormond (Frank); her grandchildren, Joey Register (Ashley), John Register (Shannon) and Miranda Witherington (Dustin); her great grandchildren, Hailee, Taylor, Logan, Wesley Register and Lillian Witherington; and her later life sweetheart Beverly Ross. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
