With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Thomas Garner Horne of Vanceboro, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Garner Horne and Bonnie Fountain Horne; and his brother-in-law William Chapman. He is survived by: his wife Judi Pitt Horne; his children, Krista Horne Joyner (Chris), Melissa Horne Snapp (Courtney) and Gregory Thomas Horne (Ashley); his grandchildren, Hannah Grace Joyner, Hadyn Joyner, Mackenzie Snapp, Lincoln Horne and Sullivan Horne; and his siblings, John Horne (Gail) and MaryAnn H. Chapman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Home & Crematory - Greenville (2100 E 5th St, Greenville, NC 27858). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Pinewood Memorial Park (4150 E 10th St, Greenville, NC 27858).
He served and made significant contributions to the NCACPA and influenced the CPA profession at both the state and national level.
