He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Reid and Virginia King Perkins; his wife Patricia Bradshaw "Patsy" Perkins; his daughter-in-law Crystal Hewitt Perkins; and his brother Richard "Lawrence" Perkins.
He is survived by: his sons, Walter Reid Perkins, III (Beth) of Greenville and Julian Bradshaw Perkins of Morehead City; his grandchildren, Hudson Bradshaw Perkins, Walter "Reid" Perkins, IV (Ally), James Edward Perkins, Marlie Grace Perkins, Grayson Lee Perkins, Elizabeth "Liz" Patricia Perkins and Sarah Margaret Perkins (Betsy Carnighan); and his sister Virginia Perkins Sharp.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Home & Crematory - Greenville (2100 E 5th St, Greenville, NC 27858). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
