Anthea Carol Tate Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthea Carol Tate of Vass, North Carolina, who passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Frederick Leslie Taylor and Alliene Fresh Taylor; her son Jule Welch Tate III; and her husband Dr. Russell Jaynes Tate, Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, Russell Tate Jr. of Vass and John Tate (Melissa) of Vass; her daughter-in-law Jamie Tate of Oak Island, NC.; her grandchildren, Mary Tate Dickson (Ryan), Sarah Tate (Jordan Taylor), Noah Tate, Austin Tate, Avery Tate, Cooper Tate and Mason Tate; her great grandchild River Dickson; and her caregivers, Kay Warren, Dana Garner, Monica Blount and Zhana Mcleod (Barbara Fisher) of Comfort Care, LLC.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the First Baptist Church (200 E New York Ave, Southern Pines, NC 28387). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at the Union Presbyterian Church (2000 Union Church Rd, Cameron, NC 28326).
