He is survived by: his wife Dr. Ann Turner; his children, Daniel Bowers, III (Lauren) of Monroe, Will Bowers (Anna) of Jackson Springs, Jill Edwards of Pinehurst and Maggie Bowers (Bo Kendall) of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Lily, Ella Ray, Kaitlyn and Calia; his sister Donna B. Burr of Wadesboro; his stepdaughter Shelly Poindexter (Michael); and his children, Eliza Lucerno of Denver and Josiah Poindexter (Allison).
