Droxie Hennings Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Droxie Hennings (Vass, North Carolina). Droxie, born on September 28, 1941, passed away on September 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Junior Wooten and Jeanette Poynter; and her sister Janet Simpson. She is survived by: her husband Herman T. Hennings; her children, Daniel Hennings (Denise), Thomas Hennings (Missy) and Corky Smith; and her grandchildren, Clay Hennings (Amy), Heather Hennings (Chasity), Matthew Hennings (Rebecca) and Erin Kowalski (Henry). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church (4460 Lobelia Rd, Vass, NC 28394). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation.
