She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Andrew Chilton, Sr. and Annie Sue Wilson Chilton; her husband Joseph Franklin Frye; and her daughter Sarah Jo Frye. She is survived by: her daughter Susan Frye Stroder; her granddaughter Lauren Brooks Stroder; her brother Charlie Andrew "Andy" Chilton, Jr. (Mary Ellen Taylor); her nephew Charlie Andrew Chilton III (Leslie); and her niece Allison Chilton Ewald (Tyler Ewald). She is also survived by friends, neighbors.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cox Memorial Funeral Home (4888 US-1, Vass, NC 28394). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Vass First Baptist Church.
