He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivey Robert Sr. and Ada Moore of Vilas; and his brother-in-law Boyd McCloud of Elk Park. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Moore; his daughters, Sandra Hodges of Vilas and Janet Guy (Waylon) of Beech Creek; his grandchildren, Jonah Hodges of Bethel and Chelsi Greer (Austin) of Beaver Dam; and his siblings, Dora Lee Story (Harvey), Ruth McCloud, Marie Bumgarner (Billy Joe), Raymond Moore (Jan) and Floyd Moore (Sue). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Austin and Barnes Funeral Home (194 Queen St, Boone, NC 28607). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church (1128 Bairds Creek Rd, Vilas, NC 28692).
