It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Ward of Vilas, North Carolina, born in Newland, North Carolina, who passed away on May 13, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Ward and Tinnie Ester Harmon Ward; his brother James Leonard Ward; and his nephew John Leonard Harmon. He is survived by : his siblings, William Smith Ward (Deaema), Daniel Ward (Clara), Jane Harmon (Lee), Mary Sue Rose (Richard) and Lizzy Stanley (late Bill).
