He was predeceased by : his parents, John Evan Stamey and Ruby Oveda Poston Stamey; and his siblings, John Evan Stamey, Jr. and Mary Ann Stamey Canipe. He is survived by : his wife Shirley Goodman Stamey; his sons, Dennis Richard Stamey (Vickie) of Waco and Eric Welton Stamey of Waco; his grandsons, Kevin Clayton Stamey of Gastonia, Nicholas Chayce Stamey (Dixie) of Casar, Derek Evan Stamey (Shirl) of Lillington and Brent Richard Stamey of Fayetteville; and his great grandchildren, Aria Raelynn Stamey of Lillington and Heidi Lynn Stamey of Casar.
