She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Carter and Lola Margaret Scoggins Carter; and her siblings, Sonny Carter and Janie C. Vann. She is survived by: her husband Earl C. Vann of Wade; and her sister-in-law Jean Carter of Dunn. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bluff Presbyterian Church (4023 Church St, Wade, NC 28395). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
