With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Thomas Lockhart (Wadesboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 27, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wilton Thomas and Nora Russell Thomas; her siblings, Margaret Thomas Minor, Elizabeth Thomas Tucker and Lewis Gray Thomas; and her daughter Karen Lockhart Nance.
She is survived by: her children, Chip Lockhart of Polkton, Melanie Lyon (Allen) of Wadesboro, Tammy Lockhart of Wilmington and Charles Lockhart (Tina) of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Cameron Lockhart, Elin Lockhart, Allison Nance Harris (Ryan), Josh Nance (Angela), Melanie Nance Knight (Will) and Cayla Lockhart; and her great grandchildren, Nora, Annie Harris, Makyna, Brinley, Charley, Addilyn Nance, Easton, Kaiden and Cohen Knight.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anson County Animal Shelter or Anson Crisis Ministries.
