He is survived by: his wife Marie Cooper Deese; his children, Amy Deese Martin (Adrian) of Wadesboro and David Deese, Jr. (Alison) of Benson; his grandchildren, Madison Martin, Mason Martin, Dylan Deese, Hunter Deese and Randi Walters; his sister Debra Tice of Matthews; his nieces, Holly Martini (Anthony) of Matthews and Jennifer Tice of Wadesboro; his great-nephew Joseph Polson; and his great-niece Liliana Martini.
