It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Marion Ward (Wadesboro, North Carolina), born in Edenton, North Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest J. Ward and Annie W. Ward; and his brothers, Ernest, Millard and John Ward.

He is survived by : his wife Katie Grady Ward; his children, Jenna Ward Jenkins (Mitch) of Greenville, SC and Ken Ward (Leta) of Cary, NC; and his granddaughters, Elizabeth Jenkins, Victoria Jenkins, Madison Ward and Ashley Ward.
