She was predeceased by: her parents, Benton Fetzer Blalock and Julia Annie Burris Blalock; her husband Monroe Gathings; her daughter-in-law Jilla Dennis Gathings; and her brothers, Hyatt Blalock, Rembert Blalock, Benton Blalock, George Blalock and Troy Blalock.
She is survived by: her children, Billy Gathings, Patty Ratliff (Anthony), Peggy Hooks (Billy) and Danny Gathings Tammy (Ellen); her grandchildren, Brian Gathings, Kevin Gathings (Pam), Matthew Dennis (Kristi), Bud Ratliff (Kim), Damien Ratliff, Bill Hooks (Heather), Kimberly Burr, Sarah Gathings and Amanda Timmons; her siblings-in-law, Thomas "Tuck" Gathings (Lynda), Joyce Gathings and Barbara Gathings; and her friends, Terry "Punk", Danny Wright, Danielle, Franklin McAllister, Pam Tarlton, Jennifer Tarlton, Jimmy and Jean Flake. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
