She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Thomas Williams and Beulah Ricketts Williams; and her siblings, Elmer "Bud" Williams, Van Williams, Tommy Williams, Margaret Chewning, Ralph Ricketts and Calvin Williams.

She is survived by: her husband Rev. Wayne Gathings; her children, Wayne Gathings, Jr. of Greenville, SC, Tonia Bowers of Wadesboro and Tony Gathings (Carman) of Laurel Hill; her grandchildren, Kimberly Bowers (Alan Tyson) of Wadesboro, Micheala Thompson (Allen-Michael) of Greensboro, Marti Gathings of Greenville, SC, Samantha Gathings of Greenville, SC and Alex Gathings of Greenville, SC; her great grandchildren, Easton Tyson of Wadesboro, Baylin Tyson of Wadesboro and Baby Lawson Tyson; and her siblings, Louise Almanza of Lilesville, Winnie Williams of Wadesboro and Ronnie Williams (Kay) of Bumpus Mill, TN. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
