He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Brice "Pete" Brown and Elizabeth "Lib" Threadgill Brown; his wife Cindy McRae Brown; and his brother Charlie Brown. He is survived by: his children, Nicci Brown (Chris) of Lilesville, Shannon Carpenter (David) of Wadesboro, Jamy Phillips (Bert) of Wadesboro, Chris Sisk of Wadesboro, Jackson Brown of Wadesboro and Mitchell Hendrix (Jody) of Mint Hill; his grandchildren, Michael Burr, Sam Mullis, McKenzie Richardson, Summer Sisk, Mattie Brown, Whitney Phillips, Franky Phillips and Elliott Carpenter; his brother Johnny Brown (Jane) of Polkton; his sister-in-law Darnell Lang (Joey) of Morven; his close friend Diane Tarlton of Wadesboro; and his pet Sparky.
