It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Franklin Hough (Wadesboro, North Carolina), who passed away on June 21, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, E. D. Hough and Allie Cleo Ricketts Hough; and his siblings, James, Roy Lee, Edward Hough and Alice Plowman.

He is survived by : his wife Martha Edwards Hough; his daughters, Jennifer Ricketts of Wadesboro and Marie O'Neill (Don) of Monroe; his grandchildren, Jonathan Ricketts of Hampton, VA, Trevin Ricketts (Victoria) of Waxhaw, Travis Curran of Polkton, Miranda Curran of Polkton and Michael O'Neill of Monroe; and his great grandchildren, Stephen Ricketts of Wadesboro and Faye Ricketts of Wadesboro.
