He is survived by : his sons, Wayne (Lisa Wright), Kevin Wright (Martha Rodgers) and Tim (Garie Ann Wright); his grandchildren, Andrew Wright of Rockingham, Ian Wright of Buchanan, VA, Ella Wright of Buchanan, VA, Isaiah Wright of Buchanan, VA, Stephanie Collins of Nashville, TN, David Collins of Nashville, TN and Jeff Collins of Nashville, TN; his great grandchildren, Katie of Nashville, TN, Hailey of Nashville, TN and Hanna Collins of Nashville, TN; his stepchildren, Greg Lee (Beth) of Polkton and Tonya Huneycutt (Teddy) of Marshville; his stepgrandchildren, Ashton Lee of Polkton, Jordan Lee of Polkton, Leah Huneycutt of Indian Trail, Brooke Helms (Quinton) of Marshville and Hailee Huneycutt of Marshville; his former life partner Maxine Cummins of Hamlet; and his siblings-in-law, Annie Clark of Fletcher, Frances Davis (Graham) and Charlie Chewning of Raleigh.

Lee was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church in Wadesboro, where he never missed a Sunday worship service for 14 years until the pandemic.
