She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cleve McKenzie and Launa Bingham McKenzie; her significant other Willie Mack Thigpen; and her sister Elsie Spring. She is survived by: her son Jeryl "Jerry" Thigpen (Daphne) of Maxton; her granddaughters, Jennifer and Jill; her children, Emily, Mallory, Katherine, Chelsea, Hillary, Tucker, Hannah and Stella; the mother of her child Sonya of Apex, NC; and her sister Annell Barnhill of Maxton.
