With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Austin C. Behan (Wake Forest, North Carolina), who passed away on May 3, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Austin C. Behan, Sr. and Adelaide Greiner Behan; his nephew Daniel DeMarco; his wife Mary Jean; his aunt Dr. Joyce H. Shealy of The Cypress; his sisters, Mary Ann Glance (Robert) of Erie, PA, Roberta Yaklich (Robert) of Beltsville, MD, Adelaide Jacobson (Edward) of White Rock, NM and Jane DeMarco (Salvatore) of Greenville, NC; his siblings-in-law, Joan H. Rocha of Dillon, SC and Joseph T. Hayes, III (Sandra) of Wake Forest, NC; and his nieces and nephews, Paula Hayes, MD, Jack Hayes, Benjamin Hayes, Robert Glance, Justin Glance, Mary Glance, Megan Glance, Robert Yaklich, Roberta Yaklich, Jay Yaklich of Sebastian DeMarco, MD, Rikki DeMarco and Austin Jacobson.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (520 W Holding Ave, Wake Forest, NC 27587). A reception will be held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
