She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Henry Russ and Ethel Lee Russ (Jackson); her daughter Monique Octavia Thomas; her siblings, Ethel Delores Burrus and Charles Henry Russ, Jr.; and her close friend Timothy Thompson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mignon Yvette Thomas and Kim Toure Roller (Lance Roller); her grandchildren, Whitney Anais Monyo (Michael Monyo), Lance Jared Roller II, Brie Ashley Roller-Grant (Brandon T. Grant) and Anais Simone Roller; her great grandchildren, Logan Monyo and Monroe Monyo; and her brother Michael Russ (Norma Russ). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home (1051 Durham Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587).
