She was predeceased by : her mother Eloise Upchurch Naylor. She is survived by : her father Ashley Ralph; her husband James Sherrod Warwick; her former life partner John Robinson Prince, Jr.; her granddaughter Tori; her children, Mary Weems of Raleigh, Ashley Warwick (Heather) of Raleigh and Terra Sosa (Juan) of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Cooper, Anna Shearin, John, Cruz and Clara; and her sisters, Dale Tart, Joy Jernigan and Hope Naylor. She is also survived by numerous other friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brenda's honor to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary or the Bay Leaf Baptist Toy Chest Fund.
