He was predeceased by : his parents, Gladys Carter and Albert Carter; his brother Lamis Carter; his daughter Deborah Sue Carter Green; and his grandson Nicholus Wade Green.
He is survived by : his wife Gail Carter; his daughter Lisa Carter Reeves; his son-in-law Ken Partozes (Jennifer); his granddaughter Ivy Partozes; his great grandchildren, Odin Haze Jackson and Trinity Madison Green; and his sisters, Shirley Alford (Jesse), Betty Mae Harrison and Nellie Hagwood.
