He is survived by: his wife Patt Genty of Raleigh; his children, Eric Genty of Cape Town, Kate Genty Reid (Mark) of Charlotte and Nick Genty (Stephanie) of Wake Forest; his grandson Noah Genty of Wake Forest; his sisters, Cathy Shiflet (Moody) of Colorado, Susie McQueen of Colorado, Cindy Faustin of Colorado, Geri Harmony of Colorado and Becky Yamaguchi of Colorado; and his cousin Mike Shunk of Colorado.
