She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Davis and Mabel Kenyon Davis; her husband Joseph Earl Smith, Jr.; and her brother Walter Kenyon Davis. She is survived by: her sons, Kemper Battle Smith (Christy Sekelsky) of Wake Forest and Joseph C. "Jody" Smith (Victoria Tabor Smith) of Youngsville; her grandchildren, Shelby Greer Smith (Zach Rodgers) of Richmond, VA and Hannah Rae Lynn (Ryan Lynn) of Wake Forest; and her brother James C. "Jimmy" Davis (Deborah Tant) of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home and Cremation Service (1051 Durham Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587). A wake will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at the Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home (1051 Durham Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587).
