He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Blanchard and Albert Blanchard of Erie Pennsylvania; and his sister Dixie Keith. He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Blanchard (Emily) of Wake Forest, NC and Gregory Blanchard (Freidja) of Mooresville, NC; his grandchildren, Mallory, Benjamin and Nathaniel; his sister Dianne Portz; his nephew Mark Portz (Eddie); and his niece Lisa Lease.
