She was predeceased by : her parents, Mary Minta Ray and Jesse Lincoln Ray; her husband Sanford Murray; her son Gilbert W. Murray; and her daughters-in-law, Ruth Murray and Cathy Murray.

She is survived by : her son Danny R. Murray; and her grandchildren, Wade Murray (Nancy) of Atlantic Beach, Brian Murray of Raleigh, Amanda Gayle (Brandon) of Rolesville, Toni Bowden (Derek) of Louisburg and Crystal Tilley (Chris) of Wake Forest. She is also survived by grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
