With sadness, we share the passing of Rebecca Smith (Wake Forest, North Carolina). Rebecca, born on May 19, 1952, passed away on September 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Doug Prewett and Emma Prewett; her grandparents, Lou, Ethel Prewett, Guy and Garnet Greathouse; her uncle Bob; and her aunt Mary Winans.
She is survived by: her husband Mike Smith; her children, Kathy Smith and Michael Smith (Amber Smith); her grandchildren, Emma Smith, Doug Smith, Bekah Smith, Stephanie Smith and Kamiliana Jones; her cousin Bruce Winans (Becky Winans); and her pet Paisley Sue. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren, and the way she held her family.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bright Funeral Home (405 S Main St, Wake Forest, NC 27587). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home. A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Evergreen North Cemetery.
