He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Gattis and Hazel Riley Gattis; his former wife Ann Jones Gattis; and his siblings, Claudia Gattis and George Artom.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Brewer Gattis; his stepchildren, Curtis Adam Riley, Jr. (Hope) of Sanford, Karyn Gaines (Aaron) of Sanford and Dawn Pickard (William) of Sanford; his grandchildren, Macey Barrow (Sam), Jackson Gaines, Hayley Walker (Daniel), Dare, Anah and Larken; his great grandchildren, Atlas and Edith Walker; his niece Lisa Seeger (Robert); his great-niece Bianca; his niece Kristen Thomas (Leslie); his great-nieces, Sophia and Raquel; his nephew Eric Artom of Asheville; and his close friends, Curtis and Kathy Umphlett. He is also survived by extended family & friends.
