With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Savage Carter (Wake Forest, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2026 at the age of 72. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Savage and Ruby Savage; and her husband Terry. She is survived by: her son Stephen Willis (Courtney); her grandson Berkley; her sister Ruth Ann Savage; her nieces, Leigh Ann Alford and Suzanne Nelson; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Olivia and Nate; her cousin Ray Davis (Jim); her brother-in-law Jerry Carter; her nieces and nephews, Matt and Drew; her friends, Susan, Steve Faircloth, Jan and Mike Elder; Kristin and Jim Davis III.
Donations to Wake Forest Baptist Church and Grace Haven Baptist Fellowship, in honor of Susan Carter's memory, are welcome.
