He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Jones and Myrtle Jones; his brother Ronald Jones; and his wife Carline Pettis Jones. He is survived by: his sister Doris Jones-Caldwell; his children, Dwaine L. Simmons, Sr. (Jernell), Marcel Edwards, Debra Jones-Lighty (Keith), Derrick Jones, Frederick A. Jones, Jr. and Donna Jones-Clayton; and his daughter-in-law Deon Bellamy-Jones. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
