Keith Wayne Irby Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Keith Wayne Irby (Walkertown, North Carolina).
Keith passed away on Friday, February 6, 2025 at his home. He was born on September 24, 1969 in Rockingham County, NC.

Keith is survived by his significant other of 28 years, Doneva Pearson, his mother, Linda Compton, his children, Katy Irby and Hannah Irby, his three bonus children, Brittany Chilton, Chris Chilton, and Ryan Chilton, his brother, Kenneth Irby (Jennifer), and his sisters, Sarah Compton (Tony) and Kimberly Compton (Sonja).

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sydni Abigail Irby, his father, James Irby, and his brother, Kevin Neal (Beau).

Keith was truly one of a kind. He had many talents and hobbies. He was great with his hands, loved to draw, strum guitar, cook, and put things together. He was a locksmith for some time, but for the majority of his adult life, he was in the construction line of work. He had his class A CDL. His love of cars started when he was very young. Him and his dad loved spending time together working on old muscle cars. Keith also loved music, any genre, but especially 70s and 80s country music.

Keith was one of the kindest, sweetest, and most humble people you could ever know. He was the type of person to give you the shirt off his back. He will be loved and so very missed by all his family and friends, especially the love of his life who he spent every single day with for nearly three decades, Doneva.

There will be a celebration honoring Keith’s life in the coming weeks. A post will be shared once the date and plans have been solidified.
