He is survived by: his wife Carol Amburn Shaffer; his children, Teresa Shaffer (Leslie) of Walkertown and Shawn Shaffer (Charlotte) of Walkertown; his sisters, Lorene Barnes of Sparta and Shirley Sweeney of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Andrew Shaffer, Lydia Shaffer and Hailey Grooms; and his great grandchildren, Ivy Griffith, Raheem Fisher, Rumii Shaffer, Waylon Grooms and Patsy Grooms.
