He was predeceased by: his father Harold Lavan; and his sister Theresa Whicker Travis. He is survived by: his daughter Alisha Whicker; his granddaughter Abby Pearl Martin; and his sisters, Nancy Hill, Deborah Wetmore (David) and Patty Foster (Robert). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
