She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mott and Sendonia Mott; her husband James Kimerlee Herring; her sons, Clyde Herring and Eddie Herring; and her siblings, Ruben Mott, Walter Mott, Frank Mott, Willie Mott, Lacey Mott, Geraldine Thompson and Alice Artis.

She is survived by: her son James Herring of Fayetteville; her siblings, Ronnie Glenn Mott (Jackie), Myrtle Battle (Jessie), Rosia Mott, Hazel Ware (Jerry) and Brenda Woods (Clayton); and her friends, Glenda Barton and Ruth Carr. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives.
