She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall William and Mary Ellen Murray Stallings; her husband Edward Neil McGowen, Sr.; and her sister Emma Gray Walker. She is survived by: her son Edward Neil McGowen, Jr. (Amberly) of Wallace; her grandchildren, Amberlyn, Weston and Maxden; and her brother Joe Murray (Betty) of Wallace.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Upcoming Services Rockfish Memorial Cemetery (6269 NC-41, Wallace, NC 28466).
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial gift be given to Wallace Christian Academy, 4121 S NC Hwy 11, Wallace, NC 28466.
