He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin C. Mattoon and Marjorie E. Vaughan Mattoon; and his brother Reverend Royal George Mattoon. He is survived by: his wife Linda Evans Wells-Mattoon; his sons, Jeffrey Mattoon, John LaRose and Billy Mattoon; his sister Edith Reed; his stepson Hugh Evans Wells; his cousin Cathy Caswell of Crown Point, NY; and his friend Floyd.
